:. Welcome

Welcome to the Bristol and Bath Linux User Group. The LUG makes use of both a mailing list as well as monthly meetings to share and discuss ideas.

:. An Adventure in Technology || 23/05/2008 - 11:00 PM ||

An Adventure in Technology is going to be an all inclusive event where everybody is encouraged to bring something along, talk about it, swap ideas, and build things on site.

Of course nobody knows quite what people (including you!) are going to bring or do until the day of the event, but just in case, we've got some events set up. We will be running the semi-regular hardware swapshop, a hands-on recording studio, an amateur radio station, and there will be tutorials and hands-on hacking with talented artists and inventors, both software and hardware, as well as spaces for technical and non-technical talks, socialising and playing games.

Entrance is free, there is a car park and a licensed bar. If you want to talk or demo something, it will help us if you contact us in advance so that we can warn the stage crew of what to expect. However, if you just turn up on the day, we will do our best.

It will be held on the 28th June at the Trinity Centre in Bristol, more details can be found on the website.

:. Still alive || 13/05/2008 - 09:40 AM ||

Just a note to say we're still alive and kicking. That's the problem with a news page, it ages quickly.

:. RMS at the Watershed || 13/05/2004 - 11:10 AM ||

Just to confirm, RMS is speaking at the Watershed in Bristol, on the 22nd May! This coincides with May's monthly meeting, so we decided to all go to that instead. Apologies to the Bath folk.

:. Updated Meeting Locations || 16/11/2003 - 15:45 PM ||

The meetings page has been updated with a near-exhaustive list of directions for reaching the Knight's Templar pub.

:. Updated Meeting Locations || 17/12/2002 - 21:45 PM ||

The meetings page has been updated to reflect the new meeting arrangements, and the sidebar should also show where we're planning to meet for the next meeting. Make sure you know where to go, and save us a chuckle on the list when you tell us where you did go to not find us.

:. IRC channel || 11/09/2002 - 14:34 PM ||

We now have an IRC channel devoted to all things BBLUG. Drop in and say "hi" on #bblug on irc.perl.org.

:. New Site!!!!!! || 31/07/2002 - 22:15 PM ||

It's amazing how periods of unemployment can be put to good use. A couple of days sat down in front of the computer, in between pestering agencies for vacancies, and hey presto! I even managed to expand my very narrow knowledge of PHP. -- Matt
